Livability
A finalist in the Drum Awards Social Purpose film category, this is a short snippet of an 8min long gripping film following the story of Laura - narrative driven by Laura and her mother's account of experiencing a traumatic brain injury. A fundamental part of recovery and progress was the charity, Livability, who wanted to change their marketing approach for this project and steer towards a documentary-style piece.
The Fruitmedia team captured footage in a single day's shoot, taking as many cutaways and b-roll shots as possible to compliment the spoken narrative. The Fruitmedia team and the client worked hard to make sure those on camera felt comfortable and looked after as the process was emotional for all.
The film was hugely successful; gaining record numbers of views and interactions but most importantly, Laura and her family were so happy with the way their story was told and presented through film.
